  • The “Week of Respect” will be October 1st-5th.Please review the flyer on the School Messenger for the spirit days.
  • vMs. Minimi will be going into kindergarten-5th grade classrooms teaching the “Second Step” program, starting on October 2nd.This is a 22 week long character education program for K-5 students.
  • The Parent “CAP” (Child Abuse Prevention) meeting will be held on October 11th and 5:30 PM in the library for all interested 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade parents.
  • The “Altitude” program presents the “Boy’s Council” which is starting on October 12th for select 8th grade boys.
  • The “Inspiring Youth” program will be for selected 5th and 6th graders during their gym period on Tuesdays starting on October 16th.The Inspiring Youth program’s learning objectives include: personal self-management skills, general social skills, and drug resistance skills.
  • The “Altitude Kick Off” to the program will be on October 17th for all 8th graders.
  • The School Climate Committee will be going on a field trip to the “Anti-Bullying Summit” at Sparta High School on October 19th.We will be showing a video that the students created and come up with an anti-bullying action plan for our school.
  • Sussex Tech is hosting its “WOW Tours” again on October 24th.All interested 8th graders are able to attend with Ms. Minimi.
  • “We’re Not Buying It (WNBI), the substance abuse program, is starting on October 25th for all 6th graders, during gym.
  • BackPack Program- Franklin Borough School participates in Newton Social Services Department’s “BackPack Program”.This program provides 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and a few snacks for the weekend.Students pick up their bags on Friday afternoon.If you are interested in participating, please contact Ms. Minimi.
