Student Council

Welcome to the Franklin Borough School Student Council page!  Our goal is to represent the interests of the student body by creating a fun, enriching, and supportive environment for our school.  Students in 5th through 8th grade are welcome and encouraged to join the Student Council team at the beginning of each year.  Student Council is made up of both representatives and an Executive Board, which students apply for and deliver an election speech to become a part of.  The student body then gets to practice their right to vote when they elect their executive board for the school year.

As the year progresses, the Student Council is responsible for hosting school events and activities for the student body. We show our Franklin School pride and support through our attendance at seasonal sports games during bake sales and other fundraising activities. Our fundraisers help our school as well as local charities in our community. We also develop fun and engaging activities for our entire school, K-8, to enjoy together.  Previous achievements for the student council include raising over $1,000 through the Box Tops Rewards program, planning and hosting the annual senior luncheon as well as the 8th grade breakfast, and collecting food for numerous charity food drives.
