Borough School recognizes the value of the
school safety patrol as a means of preventing
accidents, instructing students in good habits,
and providing opportunities for leadership
training. Therefore, selection among applicants
are made on the basis of responsibility, good
citizenship, leadership capacity, maturity, and
academic proficiency. Members must attend a
training program before they may assume duties.
Members of the safety patrol may be assigned to
control or direct pupil traffic on school
premises, on school buses, sidewalks, and paths
adjacent to a street or roadway.
Students in grades 6-8, along with written
consent by a parent or guardian, can apply to
Mrs. Ryder, school safety patrol advisor.
